So, I have to go to London after Easter to take my Level 3 Bach Practitioner Course and sit some assessments. Despite living in London in my twenties, I still have a blind spot about what to wear when I visit. The weather in April is never reliable, there will be walking involved and I don’t want to feel like a Country Bumpkin. When I say walking, clearly I mean the ” on pavement variety” as opposed to the ” across fields and through forests variety” and that in itself brings with it a whole tricky shoe bag of worms that needs opening.
Top of the list are my New Balance Trainers. Not sure about the Gianvito Rossi beauties, although we are booked into a few smart restaurants in the evenings. Definitely the Nicholas Kirkwood for something a bit smarter. Will I need boots ? Should I pop in some white jeans? Answers on an postcard ( or message) please.
I recently went on a Blogging Workshop at Hero Stockbridge and in my goody bag was this lovely necklace which I have teamed up with a super jacket from Second Female ( also from Hero). It is a perfect jacket for between seasons and goes with jeans ( blue or black), heels or flats. I have paired it here with my ever faithful J Brand skinny jeans. It is light enough to wear over a thin knit and recently I work it under a coat when the weather was cool in the morning.
Another lovely item I recently spotted on Hero’s website was this scarf which is a dusky pink. Perfect for those of us with dark eyes and olive skin tones. I have paired it with a slub linen from Hush. I bought one of these last year and it did not fail me. It washed well, kept its colour and so I snaffled another one as soon as they went on sale. If white linen T Shirts are your thing, that I can not recommend them enough.
I also recently rediscovered Isabel Marant Etoile. I found these online a few months ago and squirrelled them away for warmer weather. Possibly the easiest to wear blouses in the Universe. Plus they are light so they can squeeze in besides my text books! I have paired them here with the J Brand but they are so beautiful they need new jeans! So whilst I am there I am going to endeavour to torment the lovely young people of Selfridge Denim Bar and find THE perfect pair of summer jeans.
I have been playing around with filters on photos, so apologies for the purists of you out there. You will be pleased to hear that I am off on a Photography Workshop at the end of April so hopefully you will be spared the indignity of my amateurism in the future!
Any suggestions for what to wear, gratefully received. Any recommendations for where to eat, also gratefully received!
