Last week I was lucky enough to have a Bamford Facial at the Herb House Spa at Limewood. It was the launch of the new Bamford products and a couple of the Bamford Therapists from Fortnum and Mason were down. I had the gorgeous Francesca who was Dhiatsu trained and totally brilliant as well as incredibly professional and knowledgeable. The facial starts with the therapist clearing the air and the energy with incense. As a Reiki Practitioner this immediately got the thumbs up from me. Finally, I felt like I had met a facial that started to tick the boxes. I loved the products and the techniques. There was none of this ” slap on the product and wait” malarkey. It flowed and my was it relaxing. At one point during the treatment Jade stones are used and I nearly purred with delight. Jade is a Heart Chakra Stone and amongst many other things it is great for releasing negative thoughts and soothing the mind. It was a struggle to get off the couch at the end. A few friends also had the same facial and over the next few days we all commented on how impressed we had been. I have since had some rather complimentary comments about my skin which quite frankly is a first in many many decades. It was definitely a facial I will be going back for. If you can not get in for a facial ( which I strongly recommend and tell ’em I sent you) then the products are definitely worth a look.
I have been using the Serum and the Moisturising Cream during the day. I will be using the Restore Elixir and Nourishing Mask once my current supplies are depleted. The final icing on the cake for me was a lovely note from Francesca reminding me to drink ginger and lemon in hot water every morning and to keep off the dairy for a while. Then, as I exited Herb House I espied their new range of Vitamins by Wild Nutrition…..more on that to follow.
